After finally dropping the โLatinxโ moniker that almost nobody wanted, Democrats are trying a new tactic in an attempt to reach Latino voters, who've been leaving the party en masse. Rather tellingly, they have chosen a rather unfortunateย nameย for their new โsignature outreach program.โ
The new program is called โAdelante,โ which means forward or onward. The reason it's unfortunate is that slogans such as โยกAdelante!โ or โยกLa Revoluciรณn Seguirรก Adelante!โ were popular rallying cries under the communist regime of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, or as he isย knownย to some Democrats, โel comandante en jefe.โ The Cuban newspaper founded in 1959, the year Castro took power, is calledย Adelante, which boasts that it was โprimero con la Revoluciรณnโ or โfirst with the Revolution.โ
According to the Democratic National Committee's website, the voter outreach program is part of โa seven-figure investment in paid media, kicking off with a round of Spanish-language print and radio ads.โ The ads will run in Texas, Florida, Nevada, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Stylistically, they bear a striking resemblance to Castro-era propaganda.
The Washington Free Beacon has put several of them side-by-side for comparison:
Some argued that embracing โwokeโ terminology such as โLatinx,โ a word most Latinosย do not useย or even understand, made Democrats seem out of touch. Others, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), faulted Democrats for alienating Hispanic voters with โloose talk of socialism,โ according to the authors ofย โThis Will Not Pass,โ a recently published book about the 2020 election and its aftermath.
CNN has also reported the party's declining support among Latino voters, with Democratic strategist Ruy Teixeira, in an essay titled โThe Democrats' Hispanic Voter Problem,โ suggesting the leftward movement of the party nationally has made it less appealing for Latinos.
โThis constituency does not harbor particularly radical views on the nature of American society and its supposed intrinsic racism and White supremacy,โ Teixeira writes. โThey are instead a patriotic, upwardly mobile, working class group with quite practical and down to earth concerns. Democrats will either learn to focus on that or they will continue to lose ground among this vital group of voters.โ
As Axios reports, Democrats have been hemorrhaging support from Latino voters, noting that โtwo trends since our last survey in Decemberย are hurting President Biden and his party: a waning intention to vote in the midterms, andย a new GOP advantage on which party is better for the economy.โ
With the economy and upward mobility being practical issues Latinos seem to care about, it's even more baffling that Democrats would want to evoke communist-era propaganda to attempt to bring them back to the fold.

The majority of Latins believe in God, family, 2 genders, male and female, pro-life and have a desire for capitalism to improve their lives! Democrats want the opposite!
So the LGBTQ+1 wing of the progressive movement is trying to remove gender from the Latin languages and the Latinos don’t like it. Only a matter of time until the various elements of the left’s coalition of “underserved” communities will be competing for control and power. That should end these idiots power grab.
Well Cuba Libre should be good to drink and Guantanamera should be ok they are from the Spanish American war.
Because the Democrat party is now a communist organization and they believe that they have won the culture war and no longer need to hide who they really are.
