America's bluest city has sacked its soft-on-crime district attorney amid rising crime and increasing outrage from locals.
With more than half of the vote tallied, 60% of San Francisco voters have chosen to recall District Attorney Chesa Boudin โ an insurmountable margin.
And just like that, the progressive prosecutor movement lost a leading member of its coalition.
Boudin, the son of Weather Underground terrorists, faced widespread criticism after instituting a slew of far-left policies. (RELATED: Leftist Extremists Threaten to Burn Down Supreme Court and Kill Justices โ Biden DHS Spins Wildly)
During Boudin's two-and-a-half years in office, the city has witnessed a dramatic increase in violent crime.
The New York Post has more on the voters' frustration:
Boudin's loss followed February'sย recalls of three San Francisco school membersย amid outrage over their decision to spend time renaming one-third of the city's schools instead of reopening classrooms closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor London Breed โ who in Decemberย announced a crackdownย in which cops would be โless tolerant of all the bullsโt that has destroyed our cityโ โ will name Boudin's replacement until a special election is held in November.
Last year's crime stats showed that San Francisco wasย more dangerous than 98% of American cities. (RELATED: Biden Signs Executive Order on Policing, Attacks Republicans)
Compton, California, known for its infamous gang wars, is consideredย twice as safe.
Besides the Bay Area recall, seven states held primary elections last night: California, Iowa, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, New Jersey and Mississippi.
Underscoring the most significant takeaway from the results, Politico noted that Democrats appear to have a turnout problemย in California:
โฆCalifornia is not an insignificant state for Democrats. It's a bastion of progressivism that has bent over backwards to enact policies making it easier for people to vote. For Democrats already confronting a bleak midterm election landscape nationally, any sign of apathy there is reason for concern.
California-based Doug Herman, who was a lead mail strategist for Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaigns, said it โportends turnout trouble for the fall if the primary [turnout] is this low.โ

Victory Hooray
Just read about this moron’s upbringing and pedigree. Raised by communists to be a communist. Worked for communists. Then some how, in some way, only the people in San Francisco can fathom, got elected as prosecutor. Immediately he set about to not prosecute. This might have been the first city to start the stupid sht of not prosecuting unless the dollar value of an offense was over a certain amount. Almost every week for a while, this guy was in the news for not prosecuting another type of crime. This is how it has to be I guess. Most people in San Francisco and maybe most people in this country now didn’t live through the first cold war and are now going to have to live through the second one and maybe even the third world war before they figure out that the communism these guys want to bring to America is no good. It is first of all, un-American, second un-Christian, and third it is not a utopia. All they have to do is look around them to China, Russia, Cuba, any commie country to know that. But maybe there is hope when California has great news for America, like this.
The Democrats are taking one gun at a time, and we are taking down one Democrat at a time.
