New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez refused to answer a question posed by CNN's Dana Bash on Sunday about whether or not she would support President Joe Biden in 2024.
โI just want to ask about President Biden,โ Bash asked the Congresswoman. โHe is saying he's going to run again in 2024. Will you support him?โ
Ocasio โ Cortez didn't give a straight answer, and waffled in her response:
โIf the President chooses to run again in 2024, I mean, first of all, I'm focused on winning this majority right now. โAnd preserving a majority this year in 2022. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. But I think if the president has a vision, then that's something we're all certainly willing to entertain and examine when the time comes.โ
Bashed pushed her further, replying โThat's not a yes.โ
โYeah, you know, I think we should endorseโฆwhen we get to it,โ Ocasio-Cortez hastily corrected. โBut I believe that the President has been doing a very good job so far.
The Congresswoman continued -โAnd, you know, should he run again, I think that I โ you know, I think it's โ we'll take a look at it,โ โBut right now, we need to focus on winning a majority instead of a Presidential Election.โ
As highlighted by Townhall, Ocasio โ Cortez's comments closely follow a recent โNew York Times report with โdozens of frustrated Democratic officials, members of Congress and votersโ about Biden's ability to โrescue his reeling party.โ
AOC's hesitancy to support the President mirrors findings from a Morning Consult poll released earlier today.
Key findings released by the group show that โonly 43% of young Democrats say Biden has been keeping the promises he made during 2020, compared with 60% of the average Democratic voter who said the same.โ
Biden's most recent approval rating drop has been driven by Democratic women aged 18 โ 34, a group in which Representative Ocasio โ Cortez squarely finds herself.

I cannot for the life of me understand the concerns of the Democratic Party luminaries. After all, the same people using the same equipment will be counting the votes in both the 2022 and 2024 elections. What’s the problem?
My guess is that Beijing Joe would be perfectly happy with the lack of Almost Occasionally-Cogent’s support. (When did the support of a total twit ever _help_ a pols case?)
Don’t back Brandon, because he is senile, but you sholdn’t run again, either. You are downright dangerous because many people listen to you. I don’t, other than to laugh..
She will no longer be in congress by then. So who cares what she thinks.
