Minnesota
In Minnesota's 1st Congressional District, voters have to answer the question of who they want to represent them in Congress twice. First, to fill the seat of former Republican Rep. Jim Hagedorn, who passed away earlier this year for the remainder of his term. Then, voters chose their Republican nominee to run in November for a full term representing the district. rad Finstad prevailed in the GOP primary and special election for the Republican-leaning seat and will run for a full term in November.
Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar survived another primary challenge โ this time against a pro-police Democrat. She joins fellow โSquadโ member Rashida Talib on the path to reelection.
