I have been really impressed with the Walther PDP Full Size Pistol. That said, the chance to take a 1st Look at the New Walther PDP F-Series and Streamlight TLR-7 did not disappointโฆ
While I think their market grab for a โFemaleโ pistol is poorly executed, I do like the F-Series PDP. It is comfortable, pretty compact and easy to shoot. Not to mention I actually got all my hits on the Runenation Cold Start, even if I did bust the time hackโฆ
The Streamlight TLR-7 is a handy little light too. I like the fact that it is compatible with so many different pistols. Is it the brightest out there? No, but it is pretty intuitive and plenty bright for most pistol distances. And I do like the lockout feature.

As gun reviews go, this one was pretty worthless. And following the link to the source website was an equal waste of time. Considering how much was written about the Taurus and Ruger .22LR Snubbies, Walther got short shrift. I was trying to figure out if “Kit Badger” was a male or a female. Even after going to the website, I am still not sure but I think it is a male, in which case, offering a review on a pistol designed for and marketed to women is not the most useful exercise in the world of gun reviews. To then criticize Walther’s marketing is just adding insult to injury.
As a female shooter and instructor who has been shooting Walthers for many years, I am looking forward to being able to get my hands on one of the F-Series pistols to see if there is a difference between it and my EDC PPS in 9mm. Starting over with ergonomics in mind instead of the usual “shrink it and pink it” mentality would be a nice change to see in the gun world.
