The latest Emerson College poll out of Pennsylvania shows Dr. Mehmet Oz trailing Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman by 2%, as the U.S. Senate race in the Keystone State appears to be headed down to the wire.
After Oz's earlier missteps, the focus shifted onto Fetterman, who for the past few months has been the frontrunner. However, scrutiny soon followed. First, Fetterman suffered a stroke, raising serious questions about his health. After that came more and more evidence revealing his more controversial beliefs. Beliefs that critics argue are wildly out of step with the millions of Pennsylvanians not living in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.
Perhaps most problematic for the Democratic nominee is his tenure on the state's Board of Pardons. Now, resurfaced video footage shows Fetterman, following one of his successful clemency campaigns, celebrating the release of Charles โZekeโ Goldblum.
Goldblum received a life sentence for stabbing George Wilhelm 26 times with garden shears in a Pittsburgh parking garage in an insurance fraud cover-up. The law inexorably caught up to Goldblum after he attempted to hire an undercover cop to murder his accomplice, Clarence Miller, who fingered Goldblum for Wilhelm's death.
In the video, Fetterman said he was โhappyโ Goldblum would be โgoing home to his family.โ
Goldblum, who has maintained his innocence, was poised to die in prison, having unsuccessfully appealed for clemency seven times. But in 2019, Pennsylvania's Board of Pardons, which Fetterman chairs, voted unanimously to release Goldblum from jail, overriding the wishes of Wilhelm's family. To justify its decision, the board points to the judge and prosecutor on Wilhelm's case, who have since concluded he was the accomplice rather than the principal assailant.
But in 2007, a federal appeals court rejected Goldblum's request for an evidentiary hearing, writing, โthere is just too much evidence here establishing Goldblum's guilt.โ Both judge and prosecutor have been vague about what information motivated their reversal, and no one has claimed Goldblum is innocent of the hitman charge.
Still, Fetterman cheered when Goldblum was released from jail last year,ย sayingย he was โhappy that he's going to be going home to his familyโ and that Goldblum was โnot a threat to public safety.โ The commutation was part of Fetterman's pledge to โtransformโ Pennsylvania's pardon process and free more prisoners, a record the Democrat has touted on the campaign trail. Fetterman specifically points to his efforts to end life sentences for those who are involved in murders but did not directly โpull the trigger.โ

Imagine someone like Fetterman holding the Lieutenant Governor’s office in Pennsylvania. The man is a Leftist thug. Surely the good citizens of PA won’t send such a reprobate to the Senate.
Let’s hope ther’re not that stupid.
Correction:Hopefully they are not that stupid.
I wouldnโt count on it. If dead people voted for Biden they can do the same for this brainless fool.
When there is overwhelming evidence showing a person is guilty of such a crime, I’m a strong believer in letting the punishment reflect the crime committed. Why don’t they just put Jeffrey Dahmer in charge of the DOJ?
Donโt give โem any ideas.
And this goon still leads?
why would any state vote for someone who would let a murderer out so that person can come kill you
I notice Fetter an/woman is now sporting a neck warmer. Wonder why.
You will never win, glad to say. People don’t want killers on the streets. We have enough idiots letting criminals out of jail as it is. You do a crime, you do the time, not get out of jail free card, this is no game. Ask some of the families that have to go on without their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and children, and grandchildren what they think about early release.
