His 1977 debut album โBat Out of Hellโ became one of the best-selling of all time.
In 1993, his power ballad โI'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)โ topped the charts in 28 countries.
Over his decades-long career, the late rocker appeared in many films, including โThe Rocky Horror Picture Showโ and โFight Club.โ

The singer grew up in Dallas, Texas and was still a teenager when his mother died. He acquired the nickname Meat Loaf around the same time and has varied origin stories from being his favorite meal to his weight.
