Jay Leno is back in the hospital.
The 72-year-old comedian told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he was involved in a motorcycle accident on Jan. 17th that left him with multiple broken bones, a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, and two cracked kneecaps.โ
โBut I'm OK! I'm working this weekend,โ he reassured.ย
Leno said that he went out for a test drive on a 1940 Indian motorcycle and recognized the smell of a gas leak.
โI turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it,โ Leno told the Review Journal.ย
โI didn't see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.โ
โYou know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free. After that, you're Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down,โ he reportedly said.
Leno's motorcycle accident comes several months after he underwent multiple surgeries for third-degree burns on his face and hands from aย gasoline fire.

As Leno arrived at the Comedy Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA for his first show after fire, the comedian brushed a police car. Leno checked in with the police officer regarding any damage before entering the comedy club where a sold-out crowd awaited, according toย Fox News.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to comedian Jay Leno and his wife, Mavis, for good health, resilience and a rapid recovery from his recent injuries.
You would think that the experts that maintain Leno’s vehicles would know that gasolene breaks down rubber over time. The gas connections should have been replaced long ago by hoses that are compatible with gas.
The poor guy just can’t catch a break.
