Original Article:
TUESDAY PDB – Language and messaging are problems at the Pentagon. While most of us focus on DOD's idiotic neo-Marxist obsession with woke pronouns and terms, the problem goes deeper. Sometimes senior officers simply don't understand what message they are actually conveying.
GOAL IS NOT TO ‘AVOID' – IT IS TO DETER OR WIN – Army secretary says goal with China, Taiwan is to ‘avoid land war in Asia.' Two of the Army's top leaders said Monday that 2023 is an important year for the U.S. to show China that any attempt to “unify” with Taiwan would meet with a strong U.S.-led coalition of resistance like what Russia is seeing in Ukraine. AND USING SILLY, LOADED TERM ‘LAND WAR IN ASIA' ONLY TELLS CHINA WE ARE AFRAID OF THAT.
As a former student once reminded me: ‘Clear writing is clear thinking made visible.' The same thing goes for talking.
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Here's a roundup of other developing stories.
Not the President's Daily Brief, but almost as good – PAUL'S DAILY BRIEFING – the PDB:

Taiwan needs more Top Guns as chance of conflict with China grows. Five years ago, Taiwanese fighter pilot Lt. Col. Hsiao Yi-chiao was ordered to scramble to intercept an incoming Chinese military aircraft. He took off within six minutes, his F-16 jet screaming into the sky above southern Taiwan.

You don’t fight China on the ground in Asia, especially with a total force of 3,000,000 or fewer active and reserve duty personnel unless you’re nuts. Bomb the hell out of them. Their ARMY is about the size of our TOTAL military. They could retreat for a year before running out of places to retreat to.
