Fed up with foreign enemies brainwashing American kids, one U.S. senator is exposing a Communist Chinese program that directly bankrolls, then influences, American classrooms.
Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., introduced the โPreventing Malign CCP Influence on Academic Institutions Actโ to expose a sophisticated finance program Communist Chinese leaders are using to fund lesson plans in U.S. classrooms.
โThe Chinese Communist Party has been targeting our universities for a long time, and Americans deserve to know whether their schools are yoking themselves to such an oppressive, authoritarian regime. This bill would shine a light on where Beijing is peddling its influence on the U.S. campuses that shape our kids' hearts and minds,โ said Kennedy.
Kennedy's bill would amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to require public disclosure of foreign gifts to American schools.
โUnder Kennedy's bill, any educational institution that receives more than $5,000 from a Chinese-affiliated entity in any given year would have to disclose the full name of the donor to the Department of Education. The school would also have to provide instructions on how the Department of Education can gather more information about the donation,โ Kennedy's office reports in a statement announcing the legislation.
โChinese-affiliated entities would include individuals; universities; think tanks; cultural, educational or language programs; Chinese state-owned entities; or companies, think tanks or nonprofits that have members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sitting on their boards of directors,โ the statement adds.
โThe bill would also require any educational institution that interacts with a Chinese organization to disclose all joint activities, including exchanges or research.ย In addition, institutions would have to publish all contracts and agreements with Chinese entities on their websites so the public can freely access that information,โ it concludes.
Under Communist China's โConfucius Classroomsโ and โConfucius Instituteโ programs, Communist China makes financial donations to U.S. primary schools, as well as colleges and universities, under the guise of โcultural exchange.โ
Critics argue Communist China then uses this financial leverage to influence lesson plans to promote Communist Chinese propaganda, and recruit spies and monitor dissidents on college campuses.

Alas been doing this for Years
Instead of reporting donations from the CCP, how about we just ban them altogether?
I don’t think this is happening. And there are many Chinese Americans where I live, all of whom are quite conservative, and have their children in public schools, where they are not exposed to CRT, BLM, or Chinese propaganda.
