Joe Biden might need a nap after hearing thisโฆ
Democrat Senator Joe Manchin, W.Va., vowed to oppose all of President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) nominees unless the administration halts its plans to regulate U.S. power plant emissions.
Manchin, the head of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, described the rules expected to be proposed by the EPA this week as the latest in a long regulatory agenda โdesigned to kill the fossil industry by a thousand cuts.โ
โThis Administration is determined to advance its radical climate agenda and has made it clear they are hellbent on doing everything in their power to regulate coal and gas-fueled power plants out of existence, no matter the cost to energy security and reliability,โ Manchin said in a statement. โI fear that this Administration's commitment to their extreme ideology overshadows their responsibility to ensure long-lasting energy and economic security and I will oppose all EPA nominees until they halt their government overreach.โ
โNeither the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law or the IRA gave new authority to regulate power plant emission standards,โ Manchin said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Wednesday.ย
There are two pending EPA nominees before the Senate: Joe Goffman to run the air office and David Uhlmann to helm the enforcement office.
On Thursday, the EPA is expected to unveil a new plan which requires sharp pollution cuts from plants burning coal or natural gas, the country's two biggest electricity sources. The proposal is expected to hasten the closure of many coal plants, which are the predominant power source in Manchin's home state of West Virginia.
The moderate Democrat has been a thorn in President Biden's side for much of his presidency. He has criticized the administration's execution of theย Inflation Reduction Act while threatening to join Republicans in voting to repeal the law.
Manchin faces re-election in 2024 but has raised speculation he may challenge Biden for the Democrat presidential nomination. (RELATED: West Virginia Expert Weighs In โ Could Joe Manchin Run for President?)
Recently, the West Virginia Senator told reporters that he would not launch a presidential campaign โthis year,โ notably leaving the door open for 2024.

Joe As in Manchin not to be confused as the other Joe FJB…
You should switch parties to the republican side. That will send shock waves to those wierdos on the left, and stop that crazy MTF from destroying our country.
