Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is hitting the campaign trail runningโฆ
Despite his previous support of Donald Trump, Hal Lambert, who founded Point Bridge Capital โ also known as โMAGA ETFโ is betting against Trump in this election.
โI'm in for DeSantis this time โ I plan to do a lot to help DeSantis win,โ Lambert told the New York Post prior to DeSantis joining the race. โRon is goodย at giving a message.โ
Lambert served on Trump's inaugural committee in 2016. His issue with Trump for 2024 is that the former president is too focused on the results from 2020.
โWe can't talk about things fromย four years ago thatย can't be changed,โ Lambert said. โTrump is going to have a difficult time winning the general election. The election won't be about Joe Biden's bad record. It will be a referendum on Trump instead.โ
Lambert founded Point Bridge Capital as an exchange-traded fund that invests only in companies with employees and political action committees (PACs) that support Republican candidates.ย
The Republican donor noted that immigration is set to be a major focus for Americans during the campaign cycle and Trump's inability to fulfill his campaign promises could come back to haunt him.
โWith millions of illegals from all over the world swarming across the border under Biden, it's an everyday reminder that Trump didn't fulfill his number one campaign promise โ building a wall and having Mexico pay for it,โ Lambert said. โWe got neither and our country will forever be changed.โ
Lambert also noted that Trump's inability to serve two terms in the White House effectively makes him a lame duck president.
โI think Donald Trump should drop out the race, quite frankly, for the better of the country,โ Lambert added of the GOP front-runner. โI think he should drop out of the race.โ
DeSantis is expected to launch his highly-anticipated presidential campaign on Wednesday alongside Twitter owner Elon Musk. (RELATED: DeSantis To Launch Presidential Bid Alongside Elon Musk)
The popular governor joined a growing list of primary challengers.
Earlier this week Sen.ย Tim Scottย (S.C) announced his bid for the White House. Former United Nations ambassadorย Nikki Haley, tech mogulย Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Arkansas governorย Asa Hutchinsonย have also jumped into the race. Conservative commentator and former California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder also recently announced his candidacy for president.
Former presidentย Donald Trumpย has consistently dominated polls since announcing his third presidential campaign.

I too support Mr. Trump. If only he would cease the childish smear-epithets like ‘DeSanctimonious…’ Neither presidential nor proper…I thought they were friends?
Trump is our last hope, we have no one with the balls to challenge the illegally in power communist dictatorship of human scum and their one party propaganda news outlets which are 98% of the news we are fed which of course are all lies.
