Despite furious legal maneuvering to save the prosecutorial agreement that'd spare the president's son the indignity of having to call a jail cell home, a federal judge in Delaware set to approve Hunter Biden's plea deal couldn't quite overcome her concerns about the original version.
What should have been a routine sentencing hearing derailed immediately when Judge Maryellen Noreika refused to sign off on the agreement. (RELATED: Hunter Biden Gets Shocking News. Will He Finally Pay?)
After asking the prosecution and defense if the government could bring more severe charges, to which both sides said no, Noreika inquired if the investigation into the younger Biden was ongoing. U.S. Attorney David Weiss replied that it was but said he couldn't elaborate further.
Eventually, a compromise was reached. CNN reports that the president's son will still plead guilty to his tax misdemeanors from 2017 and 2018. Both sides now agree that this will not shield the president's son from the potential of future charges.
Biden had agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and avoid prosecution and potentially jail time on a gun charge.
Judge Noreika expressed the most concern over linking the tax plea agreement to the more serious gun possession charge, throwing the arrangement's survival in doubt.

Damn RNC DNC Estd for Hunter
In on deal
While immunizing Hunter from future charges is totally unacceptable, the revision presupposes that the DOJ will do its job, something highly doubtful. If it had been doing itโs job, this plea deal would never have been offered.
A piece of crap criminal, drug addicted perverted pedophile should face all his crimes and receive years in prison. No deal. No immunity. Trials and prison time for what he and daddy have done to our country. Everyone from DOJ involved in the plea deal/coverup should be fired and charged with obstruction.
So he got a slap on the hand … anyone else would be on their way to jail. They have had the laptop long enough now that if it was anyone else they would have had the book thrown at them bu now. There is no way the DOJ can say they are applying the law equally.
The crime family will skitter by to their mantra, ,”nothing to see here”.๐ก
