Katherine Anne Feinstein, acting on behalf of her elderly mother, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, has sued the administrators of her mother's late husband's fortune to protect her mother's financial interests. Katherine has limited power of attorney over her mother, who, at 90, remains a powerful figure in Congress.
Katherine's complaint states that Michael Klein, Marc Scholvinck and Verett Mims, who manage the senator's deceased husband's trust, have denied her disbursement requests to cover medical expenses, all while enriching his biological daughters. The New York Post reports:
Feinstein's husband, Richard Blum, was the former president of equity investment management fund Blum Capital. He died in February of last year with aย net worth reportedly close to $1 billion.

Steven Braccini, a lawyer representing Klein and Scholvinck blasted the lawsuit and contended that Feinstein's daughter is to blame.
โThe trustees have acted ethically and appropriately at all times; the same cannot be said for Katherine Feinstein. This filing is unconscionable,โ Braccini said in a statement obtained by The Post.
โThe trustees have always respected Senator Feinstein and always will. But this has nothing to do with her needs and everything to do with her daughter's avarice.โ
On July 23, 2023, Feinstein granted Katherine the authority to make legal decisions on civil-related matters on her behalf. A former San Francisco County Superior Court judge, Katherine serves as fire commissioner for the people of San Francisco.

Is this the best we can do as a country to fill the position of one of the most powerful lawmakers?
doesn’t Feinstein have one of those gold-plated cadillac gov’t healthcare plans? isn’t her patronage-employed daughter making enough off of taxpayers to ‘help out’?
