An iconic figure from the 2008 presidential campaign trail is dead. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as โJoe the Plumber,โ became a fixture of the McCain-Palin campaign after confronting then-Sen. Barack Obama on the prospect of having to pay more in taxes.
Wurzelbacher, 49, passed away following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. His wife, Katie, confirmed the news to Fox News Digital on Monday morning:
โOur hearts are broken. We lost a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He made an impact on so many lives,โ Katie Wurzelbacher wrote in a statement.ย
โWhen I met Joe he was already known by everyone else as โJoe the Plumber' but he wrote something to me that stood out and showed me who he truly was: โjust Joe,'โ she said. โHe was an average, honorable man trying to do great things for the country he loved so deeply after being thrust into the public eye for asking a question.โย
Joe Wurzelbacher had announced in July that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form ofย pancreatic cancer.
โMy heart goes out to everyone whose lives are impacted by cancer. There are so many ups and downs but we tried to find joy in every day. He fought long and hard, but is now free from pain,โ Katie Wurzelbacher wrote Monday. โI don't think of him as losing his battle. Because he knew Jesus, his battle was won.โ

After viewing the included video, there’s only one thing to be said…………..
Nothing like watching another slimy politician explaining to you that it’s raining while standing there p!ssing on your boots.
Hat’s off to Joe the Plumber, another great American One of the very few heroes back in the day when most everyone else was coerced into voting for America’s first black presidential candidate lest being labeled as a “racist”.
