Trey Gowdy has little sympathy for Madison Cawthorn.
The popular congressman-turned-Fox News host directed his ire at Cawthorn on his Sunday night program. Gowdy told the North Carolina lawmaker to โname namesโ to bolster his cocaine and sex party accusations or โadmit what we suspect, which is that you made it up.โ

Mediaite continues:
โGive us the names. If you're being invited to cocaine parties by colleagues, tell us who invited you,โ Gowdy said. โWho used illicit drugs in front of you? Who broke the very laws they passed and expect us to follow? Which of your colleagues thinks he or she is above the law? Who is doubling as a deviant by night while talking about family values by day?โ
โSo stop with the nuance, name the politicians or other officials who did drugs in front of you and invited you to sex parties,โ he added.
Gowdy then recounted how during his eight years in Congress, his colleagues were โnothing like what this congressman described.โ
โTim Scottโs idea of a wild time was ordering dessert,โ he said. โJohn Ratcliffeย would run an extra mile.ย Jim Jordanย would do extra push-ups. Kevin McCarthy, now he did take us to see movies and one time, he did order butter popcorn, if that counts.ย Joey Kennedyโs nickname was โMilk' because it was the strongest thing he drank.ย Jason Chaffetzย didn't need milk because he wouldn't even drink coffee.โ
Cawthorn faced widespread condemnation within the House Republican Conference last week after claiming on a podcast that members of Congress in their 60s and 70s have invited him to orgies and done cocaine in front of him. In response, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Cawthorn โlost my trust.โ Meanwhile, House Freedom Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) told Politico, โI think it is important, if you're going to say something like that, to name names.โ
Perry wouldn't say if the conservative Freedom Caucus would boot Cawthorn if he didn't name names or provide other evidence to back up his salacious accusations.
Despite the furor from fellow Republicans, Cawthorn's name appeared on a list of โspecial guest speakersโ at a rally for former President Donald Trump, scheduled for this Saturday in Selma, North Carolina. (RELATED: Trump Indicates Support for Embattled Congressman Madison Cawthorn)
Organizers are billing the rally as a show of support for candidates the former president has endorsed, beginning with Rep. Ted Budd, who's struggled to breakthrough North Carolina's competitive U.S. Senate primary.

Why would Madison say such a thing if it was not true.
He has had a lot of negative treatment from the Dems.
Lets cut the guy some slack!!!
I cannot in any way agree. If you make such an accusation you must say of whom you are speaking. Congress makes the very laws being broken. This can’t be ignored. If anyone in congress is involved in these behaviors they need to be expelled from congress immediately these are not light accusations. If he won’t say who it was I am inclined to agree that he made it up. If it is true and you are bringing it to light then do that! Don’t be a coward.
Anyone who doesn’t believe illegal drugs are used by Congress and Senate members, is to naive to vote. Please stay home during the next election.
I agree
Why are you, Trey Gowdy so worried? Many Americans know their representatives are deviates. Madison would be a target if he named names. What about whistleblower’s protection laws.
