CHINA THREAT
OF COURSE โย As the world reacts in horror to Bucha, China's state media strikes a different tone.ย Shocking images showing theย bodies of civilians scattered across the streetsย of Bucha, a suburb of the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, have sparked global horror in recent days. But a starkly different narrative is playing out on China's state-run media whichย have been quick to emphasize the Russian rebuttal highlighting unsubstantiated claims from Moscow that the situation was staged by Ukraine.
RUSSIA THREAT
Ukraine's Luhansk region tells civilians to evacuate โwhile it is safe.' Ukraine has said Russian troops that invaded on Feb. 24 are regrouping and preparing for a new offensive in the Donbas area, which includes Luhansk.
Czech Republic sends tanks, infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. The Czech Republic has sent T-72 tanks and BVP-1 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine, a Czech defense source told Reuters on Tuesday, confirming a local media report.

LONG OVERDUE โ AND CHINA TOO โย Zelensky calls for removing Russia from UN Security Council. Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky told the U.N. Security Council it should be dissolved if Russia isn't removed and that newly uncovered atrocities following Russia's withdrawal near Kyiv could be worse than in Bucha.
YES, PLEASE โย If Finland and Sweden apply to join NATO, they would be welcomed, Stoltenberg says.ย NATO allies would welcome Finland and Sweden into the alliance if they decided to join but any such move is up to the two nations, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday.

The team of foreign policy and security aides to incoming president Yoon Suk-yeol met U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan as Yoon seeks a more constant security presence to deter threats from North Korea as it steps up weapons tests.

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
UK, US, Australia agree to work on hypersonics under defense pact. Britain, the United States and Australia on Tuesday agreed to cooperate on hypersonic weapons and electronic warfare capabilities, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office said, following a call between leaders of the new defense alliance.
Malian, foreign soldiers allegedly killed hundreds in town siege -rights group. Malian troops and suspected Russian fighters allegedly executed around 300 civilian men over five days during a military operation in a central Mali town, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report on Tuesday, which the country's army refuted.
BIDEN'S AFGHAN DISASTER
UNCONVINCIING โย No strikes in Afghanistan since US withdrawal, DoD leaders confirm. U.S. military forces have not conducted any counterterrorism strikes in Afghanistan since withdrawing all troops from the country last summer, but military officials insisted on Tuesday that they have the capability to monitor and neutralize threats there despite logistical challenges.
US MILITARY AND SPACE
CRIMINAL?ย Double helicopter crash at Fort Stewart was โnot an accident.' An incident involving two Army helicopters that killed a medical evacuation pilot at a Fort Stewart, Georgia, airfield last week was โnot an accidentโ and is under criminal investigation, Army Times has learned.
