Vanderbilt Pediatric Gender Clinic is halting gender-transitioning surgery for minors for the time being. The development follows a letter to Vanderbilt hospital written by State Rep. Jason Zachary (R-Knoxville) and signed by 62 members of the Tennessee House of Representatives. At least five high school football players have been shot, and one killed, at a Philadelphia high school Tuesday afternoon. The deceased victim was a 14-year-old boy. The shooting occurred at Roxborough High School just after 4:40 p.m. as a football scrimmage was ending between Roxborough High School, Northeast High School and Boys Latin Charter School.
