We are in mourning. The KelTec P-3AT was discontinued. To many, that means nothing. Itโ€™s just another discontinued gun, and itโ€™s a KelTec at that. Thatโ€™s the wrong attitude to have. The discontinuation of the P-3AT is the death of the first pocket .380 ACP. These days you can throw a stick in a gun store and hit a pocket .380 ACP. Concealed carry really took off after Shall Issue became the norm in the United States. In short order, more people were carrying firearms than ever before, and more and more people were looking for smaller, easier-to-carry, easier-to-conceal firearms.…

Camouflage, in the form of paint applied to aircraft, has been regularly studied and experimented with since the First World War. The use of ground-based or airborne radar to detect enemy aircraft did not have significant application until the British used it successfully during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Until that time and even after, until radar was in widespread use, visual detection of aircraft was the primary means. The Army Air Corps and the wartime Army Air Forces wrestled with a number of aircraft camouflage concepts during the pre-war and wartime years. The final standards, schemes and colors…

WASHINGTON, D.C. โ€“ The Senate has voted down the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution that would have nullified the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) pistol brace rule. The vote centered around a new ATF rule that would change the definition of a pistol with a barrel less than 16 inches equipped with a stabilizing device from a pistol to a short-barreled rifle (SBR). The change would subject the firearm to the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA) and require the owner to register the gun with the ATF. Failure to do so would be a felony punishable…

From the department of redundant redundancy departments comes โ€œThe Squadโ€ backbencher, Congressnon-manย Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), pushingย legislationย that would force gun dealers to have locks available for every firearm they sell. Not included with the firearm, mind you, just available for sale and the store must also offer said lock or safe storage device at the time of the gun purchase. Apparently sheโ€™s unaware that all handguns sold in the U.S. already must come with a secure gun storage or safety device, which is usually in the form of a cable lock. Itโ€™s Federal law. Some states require the same for long guns,…

In news that comes as a shock to no one, only only a tiny handful of braced pistol owners jumped through the hoops of completing an eForm 1 for braced pistols they owned during the just-completed โ€œamnestyโ€ period. According to The Reload, ATF says it received just over a quarter-million applications before the โ€œgrace periodโ€ for registrations closed on May 31st. A quarter million? Various sources put the number of pistol stabilizing braces owned by Americans at between 10 and 40 million. Doing simple government school math, that means less than three percent of the devices have been registered. Candidly, as…

Thereโ€™s no more recognizable American knife. The Ka-Bar is it โ€” nothing else comes close. This is the knife equivalent of the 1911. The Ka-Bar went to war in 1942 and likely hasnโ€™t left the battlefield since. It needs little introduction for our readers, so Iโ€™ll dive in. These new Ka-Bars come with a variety of blade stampsโ€“many branches of service and other kinds of commemorations. The Origins of the Ka-Bar Theย United States Marine Corps picked up the fixed blade Ka-Barย at the end of 1942. The United States joined World War II and the country was dealing with a mix…

U.S.A. โ€” โ€œProud of my colleague, @bradhoylman for getting our bill, A2893A/S0580A passed in the Senate!โ€ Queens Assemblymember Jessica Gonzรกlez-Rojas tweeted Wednesday. โ€œThis legislation backed by @NYAGV1, @Everytown, @TheHAVI, @bradybuzz & more is a White House proposal. Letโ€™s address gun violence with health solutions & pass it in the @NYSA_Majority!โ€ In summation, gun prohibitionists are once more demonizing guns rather than the violent criminals who abuse them and mischaracterizing evil behavior by aberrant individuals as a public health issue. So, whatโ€™s this bill theyโ€™re claiming provides โ€œsolutionsโ€? โ€œMedicaid would reimburse violence prevention programs in New York under a proposal advanced Tuesday in the state…

Californiaโ€™s comprehensive regime of strict gun control laws has worked to ensure that mostly bad guys have guns in the Golden State. Gavin Newsomโ€™s done his damnedest through radically restrictive limits on keeping and bearing arms to keep firearms out of the hands of most good men and women. That leaves the violent criminals to carry freely, especially in jurisdictions where Soros-funded (non)prosecutors rule the roost. In Oakland, a trio of brazen armed robbers struck last week just outside the Alameda County Courthouse. They scored big, catching Judge Kevin Murphy walking from the parking garage to the courthouse. They relieved…

U.S.A. โ€” Violent crime happens in all kinds of circumstances. It was about 5:30 on a Wednesday afternoon when a 27-year-old woman was stopped in traffic. Traffic in downtown Philadelphia is never much fun, but things were about to take a turn from bad to worse. A stranger ran up to her car and smashed her back passenger side window with a crowbar. Fortunately, this driver was armed. Without the side window in the car, the attacker now had a means to quickly enter the back seat and attack the driver from behind. The crowbar was a dangerous impact weapon, particularly for…
