A Democrat opposition research firm used a stolen Social Security number to illicitly access the military records of 11 Republican candidates, including two current members of Congress, POLITICO has revealed. The breach has Republicans asking the Justice Department to investigate whether a crime was committed and asking what Indiana Democrat Congressman Frank Mrvan knew about leaking the record of his Republican opponent, veteran Jennifer Ruth-Green. “Washington Democrats weaponized military service against Republican candidates. Frank Mrvan must be asked, did he know these records were improperly released and when did he find out?” said National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Chris Gustafson.…

In a dramatic hearing of the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, members of the Republican majority exposed, in detail, how the billions of dollars in “green energy” spending under President Joe Biden administration’s “Inflation Reduction Act” will fuel child slave labor and create widescale toxic pollution. “U.S. dependence on foreign sources for critical minerals has reached alarming rates. Sadly, Mr. Biden and Democrats in Congress don’t see this as a problem, or they simply don’t care,” said Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Chair Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., in a statement. Despite leading in their respective party primaries ahead of a 2024 election rematch, most Republicans and Democrats do not consider former President Donald Trump or President Joe Biden their party’s leaders and wish someone else were. The latest Associated Press/NORC survey finds that while 41 percent of Democrats consider Joe Biden to be their party’s stated leader, only 12 percent believe he should lead their party. While Democrats appear to want to move on from Biden, he benefits from a divided field.  Even with just 12 percent of Democrats believing he should lead their party, he’s the most popular named…

Despite the Biden administration’s claims that domestic energy production must be shut down, largely in Republican states, due to the “climate crisis,” federal documents reveal one state has seen an explosion of oil drilling permits — Interior Secretary Deb Haaland’s home state of New Mexico. U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, is now questioning how the Biden administration can site potential greenhouse gas emissions to oppose oil drilling in his state while issuing permits to increase oil production exponentially in New Mexico, the point where it now produces more oil than Alaska. Since Biden took office in 2021, New Mexico has…

Just weeks after the taxpayer-funded Smithsonian Institution was sued for kicking a group of students out of the National Air and Space Museum for wearing clothes with pro-life slogans, a nonprofit public interest law firm is suing the National Archives for removing tourists for the same reason. The American Center for Law & Justice is already representing nine students and three parents, visiting Washington, D.C. for the annual March for Life, who were thrown out of the taxpayer-funded federal Air and Space Museum for having the word “Pro-Life” on their hats. As federally-funded public institutions, the Air and Space Museum…

New legislation introduced in Congress hopes to stop an ongoing communist Chinese plan to influence and control U.S. policy by paying former American political appointees to lobby on their behalf. The Cutting-off Communist Profiteers (CCP) Act (S. 442), introduced by U.S. Senators John Barrasso, R-Wyo., Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., Mike Braun, R-Ind., Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn. and Katie Britt, R-Ala., prohibits any U.S. political appointees from “knowingly representing, aiding, or advising” the Chinese Communist Party, Chinese military companies or any entity knowingly receiving any assistance from the Government of China or the Chinese Communist Party.” Violations of the act could be punished…

Conservatives in the U.S. Senate are moving to block plans by the Biden administration to implement policies handed down by the United Nations’ World Health Organization (WHO), citing the group’s mishandling of the global COVID-19 pandemic, its hostility to the United States and its efforts to cover up Communist China’s responsibility for the crisis. U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., introduced the “No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act.” The legislation requires “any convention or agreement resulting from the work of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) intergovernmental negotiating body be deemed a treaty, requiring the advice and consent of…

Four months after President Joe Biden’s much-hyped pre-election promise to pardon those convicted of marijuana possession, it appears nothing has been done, Reason magazine’s Jacob Sullum reports. On Oct. 6, 2022, just about four weeks before the midterm elections, Biden issued a blanket pardon to “all current United States citizens and lawful permanent residents who committed the offense of simple possession of marijuana in violation of the Controlled Substances Act.” The proposed pardons would not apply to those convicted of any other offense and would not expunge the conviction. Sullum notes that, based on data from U.S. Sentencing Commission, around…

A nonprofit public interest law firm is going to federal court to get records on President Joe Biden’s use of uniformed Marines as a backdrop in a bizarre speech in which he declared his political opponents to be enemies of the state. Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Defense for records about the use of U.S. Marines for President Joe Biden’s controversial September 1, 2022, campaign speech in Philadelphia. “Biden’s infamous ‘Red Speech,’ which included the abuse of our Marines in its totalitarian imagery, painted a target on Trump and tens of…

Twenty members of the U.S. Senate and House are demanding an explanation after a leaked memo reveals the Federal Bureau of Investigation colluded with a left-wing political group to classify traditional Catholics as potential terrorists. Senator James Lankford, R-Okla., and Representative Michael Cloud, R-Texas, along with 18 of their colleagues, led a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray regarding the leaked Jan. 23 memo, developed with the assistance of the notorious “Southern Poverty Law Center,” that classified pro-life Catholics as violent threats and urged FBI agents to infiltrate Catholic churches to spy on parishioners. “We are deeply concerned about the…
