The House of Representatives voted to advance a censure resolution against Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Wednesday. The House voted 208-218 along party lines on a motion to table the measure, rejecting a Democrat-led effort to block the resolution from coming to the floor for a vote. A federal judge has ordered West Virginia Governor Jim Justice (R) to hand over information in a lawsuit from a coal supply company. U.S. District Judge Leonard Stark ruled Wednesday that Justice must provide written responses to questions and provide all requested documents to the company Xcoal by July 5. Xcoal is seeking $2 million from Justice, according to reports from The Hill. An accounting mistake reportedly led the Pentagon to overestimate the value of weapons and equipment it has sent to Ukraine by $6.2 billion dollars over the last two years. According to Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh, an internal review uncovered that the military had used the estimated cost to replace the transferred equipment instead of the value recorded in the Pentagon’s books.  That discrepancy resulted in a $3.6 billion shortfall this fiscal year, and a $2.6 billion shortfall in fiscal year 2022. “It’s just going to go back into the pot of money that we have allocated for the future Pentagon stock drawdowns,” Singh…

An ally to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has received her sentence after pleading guilty to accepting an illegal campaign contribution. Lynda Bennett, who unsuccessfully ran for former Rep. Mark Meadows’s seat (R-N.C.) in 2020, was sentenced to a year of probation on Tuesday. Hunter is expected to plead guilty to two federal misdemeanor counts of failing to pay his taxes.
