As Title 42 is set to expire this week the Biden administration quietly reinstated another Trump-era border policy to address the expected tsunami of migrants. The rule, finalized and published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, disqualifies migrants from applying for asylum in the U.S. if they did not first apply for asylum in other countries they traveled through, such as Mexico.
