In late February the Biden Justice Department (DOJ) shuttered its China Initiative, a national security program launched by President Trump in 2018 designed to battle widespread Communist Chinese espionage in the United States. The effort was especially focused on Chinese intellectual property theft at U.S. research universities. Much of this espionage is done by China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Team Biden did this, even as the DOJ has just announced the arrest of three Chinese nationals for “stalking, harassing, and spying on U.S. residents” on behalf of China’s secret police. Team Biden dismantled the China Initiative after…

As Russian forces were pushed out of the northern suburbs of Kyiv, Ukrainian troops uncovered hundreds of dead civilians, some shot at close range, others apparently executed with their hands tied behind their backs. So far, Ukrainian officials said the bodies of 410 civilians were found in towns around the capital. In some cases western journalists were on the scene. In Bucha, northwest of the capital, AP journalists saw 21 bodies, including a group of nine in civilian clothes who appeared to have been shot at close range. At least two had their hands tied behind their backs. In Motyzhyn, to the…

What if terrorists attacked a major U.S. city with one or more nuclear devices?  Well, thankfully, it hasn’t happened yet, but at the height of the Cold War, in 1986, the U.S. government conducted a nuclear terror attack simulation exercise in Indianapolis, Indiana code-named ‘Mighty Derringer.’ And as part of that simulation, it even produced a highly realistic training video of a fake news broadcast showing how an attack might develop live on local TV news. And until now, no one outside of the U.S. government had seen the video. But Gizmodo has obtained the ‘Mighty Derringer’ footage from the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) through a…

As the establishment media finally comes around to the Hunter Biden foreign corruption story, which we have been reporting since late 2020, The Washington Post now confirms many details found on the hard drive of a laptop Hunter Biden abandoned in a Delaware repair shop in 2019. Earlier this month, The New York Times reported that emails recovered from the laptop had been “authenticated.” The Washington Post report adds even more credibility. Most significantly, The Washington Post has shed new light on Hunter’s dealings with CEFC China Energy, a Chinese state-linked energy firm which has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and People’s Liberation Army (PLA), that paid Hunter millions of…

In what could be the first Ukrainian attack on a target inside Russia, Moscow is claiming Ukraine struck a fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod, 25 miles north of the Ukrainian border. This would be a significant move by Ukraine as Russian forces have been laying waste to Ukraine for weeks without any meaningful retribution inside Russia. Despite a lack of independent confirmation, or official statement from Ukraine, footage posted on social media showed what appeared to be multiple rocket attacks from helicopters followed by a massive explosion, while another video showed an Mi-24 attack helicopter flying away at very low level over…

ANALYSIS – Ever since Russia began massing forces near Ukraine several months ago, like many others, I have been engaged in discussions with various senior military leaders and strategists pondering what Vladimir Putin’s end game might be. Some believed he was blustering to gain some minor concessions from Ukraine, such as a ‘no-NATO’ neutrality pledge, or pledge to not base offensive weapons. Others thought he was positioning for a minor incursion to teach Ukraine a lesson and gain more control over the eastern breakaway regions nominally under Moscow’s thumb. A variation of this last option was my preferred choice, but I…
