As with all things Ukraine war-related, disinformation is in full swing by all sides, and rumors are running wild. Still, there is credible reporting of an emerging Kremlin purge. ADNย recently reportedย that Vlad the Invader Putin may have fired up to eight generals and has been raging at his spy chiefs over the glaring failures in preparing him for the Ukraine war. Now things are getting more interesting. According toย the Daily Mail, one respected Russian commentator and author based in Moscow claimsย Putinย has placed the head of the FSBโ€™s foreign service โ€“ Sergey Beseda โ€“ and his deputyย Anatoly Bolyukhย -under house arrest after…

ANALYSIS โ€“ย While telegenic, articulate and generally well informed, conservative South Florida GOP congresswoman, and my former Univision radio show co-host, Maria Elvira Salazar, flubbed a question about the U.S. imposing a no-fly zone over Ukraine. The flub highlights the need for our policy makers to be better informed during this crisis, and the danger on all sides of hyping our way into a broader war with Russia. When asked on video if she supported a no-fly zone in Ukraine, the former journalist, and TV and radio personality, on whose TV news shows I also appeared frequently, replied: โ€œI support everything…

With his Ukrainian โ€˜shock and aweโ€™ blitz grinding on without any quick victory in sight, Vlad the Invader Putin is blaming his generals and top spies for the failure. According to Ukrainian government sources, Putin has fired at least eight of his generals since the start of the war. โ€˜They changed their leadership. They had about 8 generals removed from their posts because they did not complete the task. Now new ones have been appointed,โ€™ said Oleksiy Danilov, head of Ukraineโ€™s security council. โ€˜We clearly understand what is happening in the Russian Federation. Moreover, I can say that they are desperate,โ€™…

Even as Vlad the Invader Putin fires his generals and doubles down on his stalled but brutal invasion of Ukraine, some European countries fear Putin may lash out elsewhere in frustration, and that they could be next. Though some doubt Putin would, or could, attack elsewhere with nearly 200,000 of his troops currently bogged down in Ukraine, others see Russian military strikes and irregular warfare against other European countries as a way for him to take some pressure off his current war. It might also be needed to divert attention from growing dissent at home as everyday Russians continue to…

ANALYSISย โ€“ Asย reported earlierย by ALN, two weeks prior to launching his invasion of Ukraine Vlad the Invader Putin abruptly pulled one of his yachts from port in Hamburg before finishing repairs, to avoid Western sanctions prior to Russia invading Ukraine.ย Since then, his and his oligarch croniesโ€™ yachts have been in the spotlight. ALN also noted that the hacking group โ€˜Anonymousโ€™ renamed Putinโ€™sย $100 million luxuryย yachtย from โ€œGracefulโ€ to โ€œFCKPTNโ€ by messing with online maritime tracking data. The hackers later changed the yachtโ€™s destination to โ€œhell.โ€ While this was amusing, taking direct action against Putinโ€™s yacht (or yachts), and those of his tycoon supporters…

With the increasing concern over nuclear war resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Vladimir Putinโ€™s bizarre nuclear threats, many are asking can we survive a nuclear attack. While doomsday scenarios from a full-scale nuclear exchange between the United States and Russia firing a total of more than 10,000 nukes paint a dismal picture forย anyย survival, smaller, limited or tactical nuclear strikes may be a different story. Asย ADN has noted previously, Russiaโ€™s nuclear weapons doctrine calls for โ€˜escalation to de-escalate,โ€™ or using some nukes to prevent the use of more. This makes limited nuclear attacks more likely in a conflict…
