Loudoun County voters first elected Buta Biberaj as their commonwealth’s attorney in 2019. She won on a platform that emphasized avoiding incarcerating criminals. Despite that, Biberjai sought to jail Scott Smith for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at a Loudoun County School Board meeting. As the county’s top prosecutor, Biberaj knew about the sexual assault case involving Smith’s daughter. She presumably would understand why Smith got upset that day. Yet she argued for jailing Smith anyway. Biberaj also pushed for a fine and anger management classes, even though Smith only faced two misdemeanors. Evidence of Anti-Conservative Bias?ย  On the surface,…

Although Denmark represents Bernie Sanders’ model for democratic socialism, the United States could learn something from the tiny Nordic country. In one way, at least. Large swaths of the U.S. remain beholden to COVID-19 restrictions. In liberal enclaves from coast to coast, American citizens have to comply with various decrees. The San Francisco Bay Area just reinstated a mask mandate, despite the inability of one leading Democrat to follow it. In Los Angeles, millions of residents have to show proof of vaccination to enjoy indoor gatherings. Meanwhile, Oregon Gov.ย Kate Brown (D) requires residents to mask up in most outdoor settings.…

SponsoredSupport America’s Law Enforcement – Sign the Petition Today! A surging national murder rate has emboldened critics of the Defund the Police movement. In fact, last year represented the single largest increase in murders since the Bureau began national record-keeping in the 1960s. And it wasn’t even close. Historians shouldn’t sugarcoat the past, but the practice of judging history by way of the present is sloppy. Leftists use this practice, known as presentism, to make unsound arguments all the time. Sometimes it works. More often, it backfires as people see through this common fallacy. Hopefully, most people will see right through Vice President Kamala Harris’ remarks on Tuesday when she blasted the explorers who led the European “discovery” of America. Per the Daily Wire: Speaking at the National Congress of American Indians 78th Annual Convention on Tuesday, the day after Columbus Day, Vice President Kamala Harris took the opportunity…

One of the major airlines in the United States has cancelled more than 2,000 flights since Saturday. The mass cancellations have disrupted the travel planes of thousands of customers. Despite online speculation, Southwest Airlines (SWA) blamed bad weather, air traffic control issues and staff shortages for destabilizing daily operations. Still, the story took on a life of its own on Twitter over the weekend. Several well-known conservatives mistakenly claimed that a mass walkout by SWA employees over the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate brought the airline to a screening halt. This isn’t Terry McAuliffe’s first rodeo. The Democrat previously served as Virginia’s 72nd governor from 2014 to 2018. But the fight to reclaim power in Richmond presents unique challenges. For one thing, McAuliffe comes with baggage. Even the far-left Mother Jones has attacked him for his “brazen mixing of his campaign fundraising activity and attempts to enrich himself personally.” More than that, there was an FBI investigation into McAuliffe’s campaign finances. The evidence was inconclusive. CNN reported how one six-figure donation got investigators’ attention: Among the McAuliffe donations that drew the interest of the investigators was $120,000 from a Chinese…
