President Biden’s lawyers have found more classified documents from the Obama administration in the garage of Mr. Biden’s Delaware home. The latest revelation comes mere days after White House attorney Richard Sauber said the president’s lawyers found a “small number” of classified documents at Mr. Biden’s former Washington, D.C. office. Attorney General Merrick Garland has responded by appointing a special counsel to investigate Mr. Biden’s handling of classified documents. https://twitter.com/ABC/status/1613603157568851971 Per CNBC: Garland tapped Robert Hur to serve as special counsel. Some Democrats — we’re looking at you, Jerry Nadler — balk at the idea of babies receiving appropriate care after surviving a late-term abortion. The New York congressman criticized the concept again yesterday before the House of Representatives passed a new pro-life bill. H.R. 26, also known as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, would require health care providers to provide “the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion.” Ultimately, two Texas Democrats helped Republicans pass the first measure on a 220-210-1 vote, as The Hill explains: Rep. Henry Cuellar (Texas) was…

A Detroit suburb’s city council has approved the use of in-home animal sacrifices for religious reasons. The Hamtramck City Council’s 3-2 vote allows for the practice, which is relatively common in the Muslim community during the holiday of Eid al-Adha. A goat or sheep, most often, is slaughtered. The animal’s meat is then shared between family members and the less fortunate. Citizens who follow the practice must notify the city and consent to make their property available for inspection. WXYZ-TV Detroit reports: The decision ultimately came down to a more than 30-year-old U.S. Supreme Court ruling that says cities cannot…

The leading Republican officials in Rep. George Santos’ New York congressional district are demanding that the embattled Republican resign effective immediately. In November, Santos (R) won the election to represent New York’s 3rd Congressional District amid a micro-wave election in the Empire State over stubbornly high crime rates. ALN affiliate America’s News Desk reports: More than a dozen Republican politicians from Santos’ district condemned Santos’ falsehoods and called for his resignation. “He’s disgraced the House of Representatives and we do not consider him one of our congresspeople,” Nassau County Republican Party Chairman Joseph Cairo said concerning Santos’ series of scandals.…

California Rep. Katie Porter (D) is running for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Dianne Feinstein. The progressive politician has represented parts of traditionally GOP-leaning Orange County since 2019. In 2022, she fended off a strong challenge by Republican Scott Baugh, defeating him by 3.2%. Porter’s announcement comes despite Sen. Feinstein’s equivocation about retiring at the end of her term. Feinstein will be 91 years old if she runs for reelection in 2024. California has a jungle primary system where the top two vote-getters in the primary face off in the general election, regardless of party affiliation. Whether Feinstein…

Kevin McCarthy is about to get the payback he’s sought for so long. McCarthy confirmed his intention to boot Reps. Swalwell, Schiff and Omar from the influential Foreign Affairs and Intelligence committees. The move is retaliation for Nancy Pelosi kicking Republican firebrands Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar from their panel assignments. Greene “liked” a Facebook comment before joining Congress suggesting that someone should shoot Nancy Pelosi. The congresswoman later apologized. Gosar became the second lawmaker stripped from his committees in the 117th Congress after tweeting an animated video of him killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. McCarthy spoke to Gosar, leading the…

One of the House’s most well-known Republicans has suffered a stinging defeat to a congressman sworn in just days ago. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, is widely regarded as a rising star in the Republican Party. Yet his glow appears to have dimmed, at least temporarily among conservatives, after he called the hardliners who nearly derailed Kevin McCarthy’s speakership bid “terrorists.” Crenshaw initially declined to apologize before explaining himself in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.” https://twitter.com/therecount/status/1612095304303628291 That explanation didn’t prevent Crenshaw from losing the plumb committee assignment to Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn. Green is a member of the House…

A woman named Kara Lynn has lost her job at a video game company. While not seemingly newsworthy, Lynn’s dismissal came after a trans activist, who goes by the moniker Purple Tinker, lobbied the company on Twitter for her termination. Purple Tinker didn’t like that Lynn exercised her First Amendment rights and followed several conservative Twitter accounts, including the popular Libs of TikTok. This supposed threat was seemingly enough for Lynn to lose her job. https://twitter.com/stillgray/status/1611780031864528896?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1611780031864528896%7Ctwgr%5Efd87a85784ca3511fd1103d99d2f0de0aae51f4f%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Ftrans-activist-appears-to-gets-woman-fired-for-following-libs-of-tiktok-other-conservatives-on-twitter The Daily Wire further reports: “The community manager for @LimitedRunGames, @/KaraLynne0326, is a transphobe who follows a veritable who’s who of right-wing transphobic creeps.…
