We hope you’re enjoying a relaxing Memorial Day weekend while not losing sight of its deeper meaning and the reality that without the sacrifice of those who served, our world today would look very different. With the reason why we celebrate Memorial Day fresh in our minds, we want to go over the lives of four largely forgotten American soldiers whose commitment to service and willingness to sacrifice represents the best of America. Here are four heroes that gave what President Abraham Lincoln called the “last full measure of devotion.” Freddie Stowers Mrs. Barbara Bush passing the case with the…

Following the latest mass shooting, a Republican in Congress has revealed their support for an assault weapons ban. Rep. Chris Jacobs (R-N.Y.) held a press conference where he announced, “I want to be completely transparent of where I am in Congress. As Hot Air’s Karen Townsend notes, President Joe Biden is fond of storytelling. He’s well known for embellishing crucial details for dramatic effect. And it appears he’s done it again. While speaking to U.S. Naval Academy graduates at this weekend’s commencement ceremony, the commander-in-chief attempted to regale the crowd with a story about whether to serve his country or build on his high school sports achievements. Biden likes to discuss dabbling in college athletics at the University of Delaware. However, Biden told the midshipman he applied for the Naval Academy in 1965 with a letter of recommendation from U.S. Sen.…

Former Congressman Beto O’Rourke interrupted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s press conference on Tuesday’s elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, to accuse Republicans of being complicit in the violence. O’Rourke is the Democratic Party’s nominee for governor in Texas. The liberal politician approached Abbott and other officials alongside him as the governor turned the mic over to Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. Law enforcement stopped O’Rouke short of the stage, but he continued to speak out after initially saying he wanted to have a conversation with the governor. “You are doing nothing,” O’Rourke said, raising his voice. “You said this was not…

One week ago, millions of Pennsylvanians chose their party’s nominees. Despite suffering a stroke hours before, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman cruised to victory in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. Currently recovering at home (on the advice of his doctors and wife), Fetterman says he is “feeling great.” However, The New York Times reports that the populist Democrat, who promised to campaign in all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties to win over Trump voters, may have serious complications based on the information provided by his medical team. It is public knowledge that surgeons at Lancaster General Hospital installed a pacemaker after…

The United States House Committee on Ethics will investigate outgoing Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.). The news follows Cawthorn’s narrow primary defeat to North Carolina state Sen. Chuck Edwards. Cawthorn’s loss came in no small part from a growing list of scandals that all too conveniently (for his Republican rivals) emerged in the days and weeks before the primary. Some were weaker than others. One relatively serious claim centered around insider trading charges over an alleged pump-and-dump scheme involving a cryptocurrency stock. The allegations, first published by the Washington Examiner, included the charge that Cawthorn might have implicated himself. https://twitter.com/patriottakes/status/1520037810400645120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1520037810400645120%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fhotair.com%2Fallahpundit%2F2022%2F04%2F29%2Fwho-ordered-the-code-red-on-madison-cawthorn-n465864 Yet…

Just how badly is the trial of Michael Sussman damaging the reputation of Hillary Clinton? Look no further than Friday’s testimony. According to her campaign manager, Hillary herself approved the plan to leak a phony Trump-Russia connection to the media. However, her former lieutenants deny anyone OK’d Sussman going to the FBI. As damning as that admission is, an ex-spy has left us with even more questions. Did Sussman Make Accusations About Trump to Anyone Else? A former CIA operative, known only as Kevin P., testified yesterday. He said that Sussman attempted to sell the fictitious narrative of a Trump-Russia…

Unpopular ex-New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio officially declared his intention to run for Congress earlier Friday. The young socialist-turned-liberal Democrat enters what observers expect will become a crowded Democratic primary in New York’s newly redrawn 10th District. However, state Sen. Brad Hoylman, the only openly gay member of the New York State Senate, is currently the only other major candidate running in the primary. The recently carved out seat covers some of the Big Apple’s most liberal enclaves, including Lower Manhattan. To say that Carl Cameron has become disillusioned with his former employer would be an understatement.
