Holosun, a leading manufacturer of electronic optics, has just launched the P.ID weaponlight series. Until now, Holosun was entirely focused on aiming solutions. The companyโ€™s catalog was mostly comprised of electronic optics, but it also included various mounts, magnifiers and lasers. With the launch of the P.ID weaponlight series, however, visible-light illuminators are now officially part of the lineup as well. The weaponlight seriesโ€™ name stands for โ€œPositive Identification,โ€ and Holosun described four different models in the original announcement. However, at the time of writing, only the standard P.ID model is visible on the companyโ€™s website. The P.ID HC, PI.D…

The state of Maryland is one that has fully embraced gun control and gone down that particular rabbit hole. Much of the reason is because Baltimore is such a dangerous place. Itโ€™s also a city big enough to drown out the other voices in the state. But nothing to worry about, folks, because gun control works. Thereโ€™s absolutely no way guns can get into the hands of people who shouldnโ€™t have them in Maryland, right? Or, well, maybe not. Police arrested a 14-year-old Parkville High School student who had a loaded handgun. Baltimore County police said the school was placed…

The recent shooting at a St. Louis high school that resulted in the murder of a teacher and a student has prompted Missouri Democrats to demand an overhaul of the stateโ€™s gun laws; from repealing the Second Amendment Preservation Act to bringing back the stateโ€™s permit-to-purchase requirement for handguns. Missouri Gov. Mike Parson hasย rejected those demands, calling instead for increased school security measures, and with the St. Louis public school system currently prohibiting armed guards from being stationed inside of school buildings at least one GOP lawmaker says heโ€™s interested in making itย mandatory for schoolsย to haveย some armed presence on campus,…

Germanyโ€™s Heckler & Koch has been around for decades and needs little introduction in the firearms world. Theyโ€™ve introduced lots of classic firearms that are easily recognizable. When we hear of H&K, the image that pops into many peopleโ€™s minds is the famed MP-5. And with good reasonโ€”for a long time, it was the worldโ€™s foremost submachine gun. H&K made a massive splash when the British SAS assaulted the Iranian Embassy in London to rescue hostages and kill five terrorists. That was during Operation Nimrod, which took place on 5 May 1980, and was televised all over the world. From…

Last week, U.S. District Judge Glenn Suddaby put a halt to the enforcement of many of the provisions in New Yorkโ€™s Concealed Carry โ€œImprovementโ€ Act, granting an injunction requested by plaintiffs who are challenging the constitutionality of the new law. Late yesterday afternoon, however, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals stayed Suddabyโ€™s ruling, which means the CCIA is once again in effect, at leastย temporarily. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals issued the temporary injunction while a legal challenge filed by a Second Amendment-rights group makes its way through the courts. โ€œDefendants-Appellants seek a stay pending appeal, and an emergency interim stay, of…

When I say duty pistol, you probably picture something like the 1911, the Glock 17, or the Beretta 92 series. You likely donโ€™t picture the Colt M1903 or M1908 Pocket Hammerless pistols. However, you might be surprised how often theseย handgunsย popped up as duty pistols. Why are these odd choices for a duty pistol? First is the calibers. The Colt M1903 is a .32 ACP pistol, and the M1908 is a .380 ACP. These two calibers are most commonly known for their role in pocket pistols. Speaking of pockets, the name Pocket Hammerless is also a good clue as to what…

General John J. Pershing was a West Point graduate, a soldierโ€™s soldier. He wasnโ€™t afraid to get his hands dirty and find ways to succeed, whether it was chasing renegade Apache across the southwestern desert, storming hills in the Spanish-American War alongside the Rough Riders, putting down Philippine rebellions, chasing Poncho Villa across the wastes of northern Mexico, or his biggest challenge โ€” building out the U.S. Army to fight in World War I. Along the way, he was handed the nickname โ€œBlack Jack,โ€ but not for being a blunt, hard-hitting soldier. The nickname came derisively from West Point cadets…

Letโ€™s take a closer look at the SIG Sauer P320 Spectre Comp. Specs The P320 Spectre Comp is the latest addition to SIGโ€™s Spectre line of pistols. With the TIN…
