The House of Representatives voted to advance a censure resolution against Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Wednesday.
The House voted 208-218 along party lines on a motion to table the measure, rejecting a Democrat-led effort to block the resolution from coming to the floor for a vote.
Wednesday's vote marked the second time the House voted on a motion to table a resolution to censure the California Democrat for his handling of investigations into former President Trump.
Last month, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) filed a motion to have Rep.ย Adam Schiffย (D-Calif.) expelled fromย Congress over his role in building up claims Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.
โHe used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman,โ Luna said in a statement Wednesday. โThe Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country.โ
Last week, the House voted against formally rebuking Schiff over concerns the measure was unconstitutional because it wouldย violate the 8th and 27th Amendments. (RELATED: House Votes On Multi-Million Dollar Fine For Democrat Congressman)
The chamber is expected to vote on the censure resolution, which will require a simple majority, late Wednesday afternoon.ย
House Republicans are widely expected to secure the number of votes needed to formally censure Schiff.

Hooray awesome
About time they do something about him!! Heโs not a patriot!!
It’s about time they start squishing the cockroaches in D.C. I’d sure be nice if they went after his cohorts next.
He’s just another Deep State Swamp Lizard! Bless you, Ms. Luna!
