Send a HeroBox Care Package Today!Multiple sources are reporting that the Pentagon may be sending additional military assets closer to China in the Indo-Pacific theater. Most of these added assets are expected to be based in Guam and Australia.
This according to the Pentagon's latest report.
The classifiedย Global Posture Reviewย is designed to help advise where to position various forces across the globe over the next two to three years.
According to this review, the assessment plans for improvements to the airfields and other infrastructure at U.S. bases in Guam and Australia, augmenting a previously announced deployment of fighter and bomber aircrafts, defense officials said.
According to theย EurAsian Times,ย this U.S. military expansion means that the United States is expected to โsend extra fighter jets includingย F-22 Raptors,ย F-35 Lightning II,ย B-2 stealth bombersย to Australia to deter possible Chinese military aggression and threats from North Korea.โ
It adds that:
the increased aircraft rotations in Australia are an indication that the U.S. is moving forward with the strategy as a major pillar of its tougher defense posture to deter China. โฆ The U.S. military's ability to act freely in Asian waterways and airspace has been hindered by China's growing arsenal of missiles directed at U.S. bases in Japan, Guam, and warships.
19fortyfiveย reportedย that Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Mara Karlin told reporters at the Pentagon that โYou'll see new rotational fighter and bomber aircraft deployments in Australia.โ The rotational deployments are expected to include bombers that are capable of carryingย anti-ship missilesย to deter the ever-growingย Chinese warshipsย in the region.
While the U.S. strategic shift to face China nominally began under the Obama administration, it only gained true resonance under President Trump which named China as a โstrategic competitor' in 2018. As theย Stars and Stripesย reported:
โฆthat concept, nicknamed the โPacific Pivot' during former President Barack Obama's administration, was supported in the [Trump] 2018 National Defense Strategy, which listed China as the โstrategic competitor' with the United States because of its rapidly growing military, operations to influence other nations and โpredatory economics' used in an attempt to dominate the Indo-Pacific region.
Unfortunately, these deployments are not nearly enough to face the growing China threat or fulfill President Biden's stated commitment to fully counter China.
The Wall Street Journalย noted:
While some details about the repositioning of military capabilities are classified and others have been previously announced, defense specialists said the review's lack of sizable adjustments to military forces in Asia shows the challenges the U.S. faces in rebalancing resources to confront China while maintaining other global commitments.

All the West’s Air Craft Carriers are merely targets against fast nuclear torpedoes and fast maneuvering mach 4 (plus) hyper-sonic anti-ship and mach 8 (plus) hyper-glide ‘anti-everything else’ intercontinental nuke tipped missiles Russia began to deploy in 2019. China and Iran will soon follow.
The US Navy Sea Wiz 20mm Vulcan Gatling-style rotary cannon can only track one target at a time. A mass launch of missiles from very short range will defeat it.
US radar must have the capability to track multiple (10 to 20 Mach 4 Hyper-sonic anti-ship missiles from very short range, say inside the sea of Japan, Yellow Sea, Formosa Straight, Persian Gulf or the Black Sea.
Russia and China will have the capability to hit carrier groups withย hyper-sonic missilesย before they can get in operationalย rangeย to launch airstrikes, as the upcoming F-35 stealth fighter jets have a combat radius of 450-600 miles, meanwhileย hyper-sonic missilesย potentially have aย rangeย in excess of 1,200 miles.
That makes the Carriers obsolete…………..UNLESS, a fleet wide, integrated jam proof radar defense exists (4 years ago) that is hardened against an EMP first strike, armed with dozens of Sea Wiz cannons and lasers that can quickly identify and ‘select individual targets’ from the waves of incoming swarms of missiles and cheap decoys in mere minutes or less.
