McConnell in Ukraine
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell led a delegation of Senate Republicans to Ukraine last week where the group met with President Zelensky. The senators who took part in the trip were Susan Collins of Maine, John Cornyn of Texas and John Barrasso of Wyoming.
McConnell's office tweeted the following official statement at the conclusion of the trip.
Someone who still has not been to Ukraine is President Joe Biden โ that fact grows more and more concerning by the week.
A number of American political leaders from both parties have visited either Ukraine or the impacted region, namely Poland, in recent weeks.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a delegation of Democrats to Ukraine over the Easter recess. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has visited Poland since the start of the conflict, as has Vice President Kamala Harris.
On their way back from Ukraine, the delegation of Senate Republicans also stopped in Stockholm, where McConnell was asked about his thoughts on Sweden and Finland officially applying to join NATO.
According to Reuters โMcConnell voiced strong support for both countries joining the 30-member Western military alliance created to deter Soviet aggression.โ
โThey have very capable militaries, both of them,โ McConnell said. โThey will be important additions to NATO if they choose to join, and I think the United States ought to be first in line to ratify the treaty for both these countries to join.โ

House Votes Planned to Address Baby Formula Shortage
The U.S. House of Representatives plans to vote this week on addressing the baby formula shortage crisis plaguing families across the country.
Per the Republican Cloakroom, members have been told to anticipate a vote on โLegislation to Grant Emergency Authority to the WIC Program to Address Supply Chain Disruptions and Recalls Related to Baby Formulaโ although no specific bills are on the vote schedule.
In a Dear Colleague letter released on Friday, Nancy Pelosi said members of her caucus are working to schedule floor votes on the matter as well.

The baby formula shortage? Simple solution here. Lock biden up to prevent him from sending it all to the border. And second, open the pipelines, commence the drilling so that fuel prices will come way down and the stuff can be distributed.
We are witnessing what can and will happen when there is too much government regulations and control of American businesses. THEY caused all of this. Every gosh darn bit of it. But, we have to also accept blame here. For decades have allowed to let our government get out of control. You MUST realize every communist dem and Rinos are stuffing their pockets full of cash over all of this mess. I believe this is the beginning to their last hoorah.
The Biden administration would have you believe they have been working this issue since Feb, when they closed the plant, but their “Keystone Cops” flurry of activity this past few days belies the truth – they were caught flat-footed. Their solutions include:
– tax the rich
– “order” companies to make more baby formula
– offer “logistics support”
– cut delays in approving foreign baby formula
– ordered Abbott to reopen the closed plant immediately (ignoring the fact it was the FDA that closed it, absolved it of any culpability, and has yet to authorize the factory to go back online)
EVERYTHING they have done in the past 7 days could have been done back in late February, that it took until now to do anything points out the administration missed this crisis.
They shuttered 40% of domestic production for 3 months and did NOTHING.
If you vote for this, YOU ARE A COMPLICIT ENEMY OF HUMANITY and COCONSPIRATOR IN LEFT AND CABAL HEINOUS CRIMES.
This bill from Pelosi will include all kinds of added pork and Leftist garbage, so when Republicans can’t support all that. the message will be “Republicans want to kill our babies.”
If you were totally broke and had massive debt… and the Red Cross (a worthy cause) came around asking for donations, would you give, even if you couldn’t afford it? Of course not. And we shouldn’t be giving away our Grandchildren’s future either!
