Peterson Harter opened his first sandwich shop on Haight Street three months ago. On Wednesday, he noticed a homeless man urinating beside his trash cans at 5 p.m. Harter, 39, said he told the man to do that somewhere else. The vagrant responded by verbally threatening and physically assaulting the business owner, all for requesting he relieve himself in private. Infuriated by the problems inundating his city and the perceived lack of urgency by those in power to do anything about it, Harter posted the following clip to Instagram.

Harter posted a snapshot of the man who allegedly assaulted him.

Crime has run so rampant in San Francisco that some stores are even padlocking their freezers at night. Speaking of one Walgreens in the city, CBS reporter Betty Yu noted, โWorkers said normally shoplifters clean out all the pizza and ice cream every night. They're usually hit 20x a day. The whole store is virtually locked up.โ
