Colorado's secretary of state's office has admitted to mistakenly sending out postcards to 30,000 noncitizens encouraging them to register to vote.
The state blamed the vote registration mailer on a database mixup with local DMV records. Under state law, all Coloradans are eligible to apply for a driver's license regardless of their immigration status.
Colorado Public Radio News reports:
The state emphasizes that if anyone who isn't a U.S. citizen tries to register to vote, Colorado's online voter registration system will prevent their application from going through.
The postcards were mailed to residents last week who had non-citizen Colorado driver's licenses. The state sends postcards every two years to Coloradans it believes are eligible to vote but not yet registered. In big letters on the front it read, โMake sure your voice is heard this November.โ It then directs people to โRegister to VOTE today atย www.GoVoteColorado.gov.โ
โThe Department has become aware that approximately 30,000 EBU [Eligible But Unregistered] postcard mailers were incorrectly sent to ineligible Coloradans,โ said a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State's Office. โThe office is undertaking an internal review of the incident and will take any corrective action that is warranted.โ
โฆ
The postcards, which were printed in English and Spanish and read in part, โA message from Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswoldโ inform the recipient โOur records indicate that you or your household may be eligible to vote, but do not appear to be registered at your current address.โ
Colorado Republican Party Chair Kristi Burton Brown condemned Griswold in a statement Monday, telling the media that โJena Griswold continues to make easily avoidable errors just before ballots go out.โ
Griswold is up for reelection next month. In her pitch to voters, the elections chief has repeatedly touted her changes to Colorado's election laws, including increasing the number of drop boxes and expanding automatic voter registration.

To rerun 2020
Very convenient mistake??
Leftist run state agencies make a lot of these mistakes.
“Mistakenly”… (snort)
Accidental my foot.
This should be a federal offense punishable by prison time.
Perhaps a proofreader is needed.
That was no mistake.
It wasn’t a “mistake”…culpable deniability…LMAO…
sounds to me like a set-up. I believe it is past time to fire a lot of People. Non-citizens should not be able to get a drivers license. Not sure how it is in other states, but here in Virginia, they get a set of tags and put onto two different cars, but worse of all they don’t get Insurance on either.. Do you think we citizens could do that..Heck No..
You can’t fire people when the people needing fired are the ones with the power to fire. It’s not going to be good come November. Some of the suspect districts in 2020 have not changed any of the lax rules they set up because of COVID. Four alleged districts may swing four senators.
Mistake? Yeah, you betcha.
Coloradans should accidentally vote Griswold out of office next month, too.
This kind of “oops moments” by vote registrars is fairly common. We have millions of noncitizens registered to vote because somebody dropped the ball and allowed them to register, Guess that is OK if you are a democrap and illegal voting is your goal. For me, this is a major crime that should be pursued and charged,,,and someone jailed!
Mistake? Not a chance I believe that! The Left is pulling out all the stops to try and win in the midterms.
Mistake, my ass. Democrats can’t win if they don’t cheat.
“Mistake”? = unlikely………”They got caught”? = much more likely!
We have got to get on top of liberal states like Colorado. Only United States Citizens should vote and have a voice in who works for We The People. Apparently this administration has made it too easy to obtain a Driver’s License. We need a Voter ID card which is issued to legal citizens at birth and to new citizens when they are sworn in as a United States Citizen.
Brought to you by the people who succeeded in eliminating the citizenship question from the U.S. Census
There it goes voter fraud again right under republicans noses!
Yes, Accidentally on purpose. Didn’t think anyone would catch them. DISPICABLE!!!
