Saint Louis' top prosecutor Kim Gardner is refusing to resign from her role, despite calls from both liberals and conservatives to remove her from her position.
During a press conference held Thursday afternoon, Gardner said that the move to remove her from office by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey was “voter suppression” per Fox News:
“First of all, I'm going to focus on the people who elected me, that people have a process if they do not, no longer want me in this office. And that's called an election. And so I cannot speak for the people and I will not address anything that the mayor said because I think the people should speak for themselves.”
Gardner was asked to respond to Bailey's legal petition to have her removed from her post, to which she replied, “The attorney general, as others use this unfortunate incident and tragic happening to this young lady as a political stunt of an unelected individual,” adding that “this is nothing more than voter suppression, which we've seen on a national level as well as in the state of Missouri.”
As previously reported by American Liberty News, Bailey's call to remove Gardner “came on the heels of a violent incident where a repeat offender, who was free despite dozens of bond violations, critically injured 16-year-old Janae Edmondson.” (RELATED: Missouri AG to Soros-Backed Prosecutor: You're Fired)
Gardner was first elected to her current role on a criminal justice reform platform in 2016 and served in the Missouri House of Representatives before that. Tim Jones, the former Republican speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives who served in the body alongside Gardner, called her “not fit for public office” in a tweet yesterday – also calling out her ties to George Soros.
KMOV also noted that the calls to remove Gardner are coming from “all corners of the city and from all political parties.”

First off, the words, “Soros-Backed Saint” should never be strung together.
Second of all, the duty of a prosecutor is to uphold the law and prosecute those who violate the law. When you take on the role of a dictator by deciding what laws will be enforced and what laws will be ignored, you cease to be a prosecutor and need to be removed. You aren’t doing the job and in fact, are a criminal.

“As if this wasn’t enough, Gardner also refused to charge a drug dealer found with 1,000 opiate pills and $30,000 in cash, as well as the killer of a 7-year-old child who had already confessed to their crime.”
[In this example, “they” is used to make ambiguous whether the killer of the 7-year old child is male or female, thus implying that the killer might not be male. This is miss-use of “they” to disadvantage women.]
