CNN is ready to move on without Don Lemon.
On Monday, CNN announced it had fired host Don Lemon after 17 years with the network.
โCNN and Don have parted ways. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors,โ CNN Communications tweeted.
On Tuesday, โCNN This Morningโ host Poppy Harlow announced Lemon had been let go and read a fast-moving statement from the network'sย CEO Chris Licht.
โAs you may have heard yesterday, CNN parted ways with anchor Don Lemon. In a statement, CNN CEO Chris Licht thanked Don for his contributions over the past 17 years. Writing in part, โDon will forever be a part of the CNN family. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.'โ
Fellow co-host Kaitlan Collins then shared some personal words with viewers in another quick statement.
โAbsolutely. Of course Don was a big part of this show over the last six months. He was one of the first anchors to have me on his show. That's something I'll obviously never forget. I agree with Chris, we wish him the best,โ she stated.
After echoing Collins' sentiments, Harlow added her own kind words. โDon was one of my first friends here at CNN. I'm so thankful to have worked alongside him and for his support for nearly 15 years here and I wish him all good things ahead,โ she said.ย
In all, the co-hosts only spent a combined 39 seconds addressing the Lemon scandal.
Back in December, Lemonย reportedly โsnappedโ at Collinsย after on-air tension spilled off-camera. Lemon got โnastyโ at Collins, scolding her for โinterruptingโ him, which left the female co-host โvisibly upset,โ a source who witnessed the exchange told Fox News Digital.ย
It is unclear who will replace Lemon.
Early reports have indicated Lemon's final straw with CNN was reportedlyย an intense segment in whichย Lemon called outย GOP presidential candidateย Vivek Ramaswamyย over a series of misleading assertions about Black history.
However, Lemon has repeatedly been the subject of bad press in recent months. The ex-CNN host received harsh criticism from Democrats and Republicans over his sexist remarks about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley being โpast her prime.โ
Lemon posted a statement on Twitter slamming the network, โI was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly. At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. it is clear that there are some larger issues at play.โ
CNN responded to Lemon's accusation against the network on Monday, calling his claims โinaccurate.โ

Collins and Harlow actually called Lemon’s on-air attitude toward them “supporting” them? Leftists are so dim-witted.
