Former President Donald Trump isn't the only Republican that has been targeted by federal law enforcement officials this week. Congressman Scott Perry (R-Pa.), who serves as chairman of the conservative Freedom Caucus, had his cell phone seized by federal agents yesterday.
After the incident, he released the following statement via Twitter:

Perry was in communication numerous times with the Trump White House in the days and weeks ahead of the storming of the Capitol.
Prominent Republicans expressed dismay at the news.
Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky bashed the actions as politically motivated on Twitter:
Rachel Bovard, of the Conservative Partnership Institute, also derided the latest escalation in the Trump investigations:

I find it hard to understand why our top law enforcement agency is going after Republicans. I always was taught that law enforcement went after LAW BREAKERS. Though I never held the FBI in very high esteem I felt they were at least honest. That is no longer the way I feel. That organization doesn’t have to o obey all of Biden’s orders. So why are they doing it? To all you moronically idiots who didn’t take the trouble to check Biden’s record and blindly voted for that COMMUNIST I really want to thank you. Thanks for helping destroy what was once a free country. I hope it all comes back to bite all of you right in the ass.
