Reverend and U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock's church pays for his home all while it kicks the poor out of theirs.
Ebenezer Baptist Church provides Warnock with a $7,417 monthly housing allowance. At the same time, an apartment building owned by the church has served eviction notices to tenants for as little as $28.55 in past-due rent as the government's pandemic response devastated the economy. According to The Washington Free Beacon, the church filed numerous eviction lawsuits against struggling tenants throughout the pandemic. One resident summed up his experience living there thusly: โThey treat me like a piece of sโ.โ
In response to the startling revelations, Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker is offering to pay for anyone in the building with past-due rent.
The Washington Free Beacon adds:
At the height of the pandemic, Warnockย scoldedย Senate Republicans for not supporting COVID-19 eviction protections. In a report Monday, theย Free Beaconย found that the church he leads as senior pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church, filed a dozen eviction lawsuits against its residents at Columbia Tower at MLK Village, an Atlanta apartment complex for the โchronically homelessโ and those with โmental disabilities.โ
The Walker campaign told theย Free Beaconย that Walker is serious about his offer and plans to follow through on it.
The former NFL running back and political newcomer is battling Warnock in a closely watched race that could determine control of the Senate.ย RealClearPoliticsย categorizes the election as a tossup race.
The latest poll from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has Warnock leading Walker, 46% to 43%.

Good move Walker Bravo
Think the IRS needs to investigate Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Well, thatโs very โChristianโ of them. Christians are supposed to help the poor.
So, renters have to pay the church. Then, the church gives the monies to thief Warnock to pay his rent. Another fake preacher scamming people.
Wondering how this church arrived at a number over the $7000 per month mark for its preacher’s housing allowance. (Imagine how much money they must be giving to world missions! /s)
Also wondering how a church is allowed to own and make money off an apartment building by collecting rent from people living there.
IRS jumped down my throat when I left out part of my income–$3000. And yet, everything seems perfectly fine here. Apparently, I’m not the right color. (Ahhh, just wondering what it was like to use the race card.)
Way to go. At least somebody in this political trash bin gives a hoot about the poor. Good for you Hershall.
He favors abortions unlimited…he votes with Vacant Biden 95% of the time…he shows no charity to the poor…Is Rev. Warlock an exalted minister of the Church of Satan?
