Could Senate Republicans expect a new member soon? Don't hold your breath.
Months after shocking Americans by switching from the Democrat Party to independent, Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is addressing speculation she may move even further to the right in the future.
During an appearance on CBS's โFace the Nationโ Sunday, Sinema was asked if she would ever consider becoming a member of the GOP.
โNo,โ the independent laughed. โYou don't go from one broken party to another.โ
Sen. Sinema announced her exit from the Democrat Party in an op-ed published in December 2022. (RELATED: Kyrsten Sinema Leaves Democratic Party)
โIn a natural extension of my service since I was first elected to Congress, I have joined the growing numbers of Arizonans who reject party politics by declaring my independence from the broken partisan system in Washington and formally registering as an Arizona Independent,โ she tweeted at the time.
The Arizona Senator explained to CBS that โthere is less tolerance for differenceโ in the current political climate.
โOne of the unfortunate things that's happeningย in Arizona, and we see this in other parts of the country as well, is that the two political parties have gotten more and more extreme,โ Sinema said. โThey've moved away from that center of working together and finding that common ground, and they're going toward the fringes because that's where the money is, and that's where the attention is, and that's where the likes on Twitter are, and that's where you get the clicks and the accolades.โ
Sinema further explained wanting to remain far away from party affiliation.
โWe have differences, differences which should be celebrated. That's an important part of a democracy. But those differences shouldn't stop us from getting things done,โ Sinema said during the interview.
Sinema has yet to announce whether she will seek re-election when her term ends in 2024.
However, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) has already entered the race to fight for her seat next cycle.

If she has REALLY become an Independent, then she will NOT caucus with the democrats either … but that still leaves two pretenders playing games with them.
BUT for the most part seminal STILL caucus’ withe the libtards!
Senator Sinema is far from being independent, she still is caucusing in the Biden radical agenda but she will protect the filibuster rule against anyone that challenges to end that Senate rule. However, I am very curious as to why she would sponsor a bill S.884 the digital ID of Americans for Klaus Schwabs reset plan. This is another pathway to health certificates, social security everything else all digital. S 884 should be opposed.
