The Biden administration may be mulling a return to forced masking according to a new report from the Department of Health and Human Services.
The report commissioned by HHS and produced by research agency Coforma pushes to implement a broad range of government policies to assist those affected by the lingering effects of COVID-19, or โlong Covidโ as its commonly referred to. Among the report's recommendations included a push to reinstate a mask mandate.
โThe lifting of mask mandates and indifferent attitude toward masking and social distancing typical in many public and private places further isolates people with Long COVID,โ the report said. As a result, policymakers should โencourage or mandate policies and protocols regarding masking and social distancing in public spaces,โ it said.
Other recommendations from the report included an awareness campaign, funding for long COVID support groups, financial support for students and workers, and new health benefits for COVID victims.
It also calls for โvaccine promotion as a preventative measure for Long COVID.โ
Assistant Health Sec. Rachel Levine seemed to signal support for masking, saying the new HHS report is โevidence of our commitment to engaging communities to provide patient-led solutions.โ
โListening to and learning from the experiences of long COVID patients is essential to accelerating understanding and breakthroughs,โ she said to MSNBC's โAndrea Mitchell Reports.โ
In September, President Biden said the โpandemic is overโ but has remained committed to funding policies to keep fighting the virus. According to Fox News, the White House recently asked Congress for another $10 billion to fight COVID, and a top HHS official said assisting people with long COVID is a long-term priority for the government.
Recently, liberal Los Angeles County took a step towards re-implementing forced masking as Covid cases continue to rise as health officials โstrongly recommendedโ residents mask up.
County health officer Dr. Muntu Davis advised in a media briefing that fitted masks should be worn in public indoor spaces, on public transit, in homeless and emergency shelters, and in correctional and detention facilities.

Just say no!!!!!
We don’t need more of that democrat hoax!!!
Guess Biden, or his handlers, are still makeing him think he’s a king, and can set any rules he wants on his “subjects”. He might be able to set the rules for federal buildings, but other than that he can’t tell the states, and it’s people, how they can go about their lives. There are going to be so many lawsuites filed about this that it will be tied up in court for the next several years.
Other studies done say NO
No more mandates
I wonder if any non-vaccinated people have contracted this “long COVID”?
